Following is an example of a typical 4-hour shift with a client:

9:00 am      Arrival; strategize about best use of the day
9:10 am      Feed, change, and burp baby halfway through
9:30 am      Baby still a little fussy, so do some dancing and humming while Mom goes to shower
10:00 am    Put baby down for nap, begin folding laundry
10:20 am    Put away laundry
10:30 am    Prepare a grilled cheese sandwich and vegetable bean soup; swiffer kitchen and dining room
11:00 am    Mom eats lunch, baby begins to stir so I check, change diaper, and rock
11:15 pm    Start dishes and wipe all surfaces while Mom cuddles Baby
11:30 pm    Mom feeds baby, I sit with her and we talk about some feeding issues
12:00 pm    Mom goes upstairs to nap; I burp, change, and soothe baby back to sleep
12:20 pm    Finish folding laundry and put away dry dishes
1:00 pm       Say goodbye for the day and see myself out
